Horses may move up and down between the series, but points only accumulate in each series and are  not combined at any time between the series. For example, if a horse placed first in one (1) leg of the  Championship Series, one (1) leg of Commonwealth Series and one (1) leg of the Golden Rod Series;

the horse will have 50 points in each series (not a combined total of 150 points). For purposes of the  Championship, Commonwealth and Golden Rod Finals, all provisions of 810 KAR 7:040 govern. In the  event a horse has earned points in any one of the series and is one of the top ten point earners in that  series at the conclusion of all of the preliminary legs, the horse must race in the series with the highest  purse in the following order Championship, Commonwealth & Golden Rod. For example, a horse that  is the leading point earner in the Commonwealth Series and also the Championship Series must race  in the Championship Final.

If a horse does not qualify for the Championship Final, the horse may be considered an also eligible  (AE) for the Commonwealth Final based on points earned in the Championship Series (to fill the

Commonwealth Series, if necessary). Preference for entry in the Commonwealth Final will be given to  horses earning points in the Commonwealth Series. For example, if eight horses enter for the  Commonwealth Final, those horses will draw for post positions 1-8, and post positions 9 & 10 will be  drawn from the two highest point earning AE horses that were eligible to enter in the Championship  Final as AEs.

If a horse does not qualify for the Commonwealth Final, the horse may be considered an also eligible  (AE) for the Golden Rod Final based on points earned in the Commonwealth Series (to fill the Golden  Rod Series, if necessary). Preference for entry in the Golden Rod Final will be given to horses earning  points in the Golden Rod Series. For example, if eight horses enter for the Golden Rod Final, those  horses will draw for post positions 1-8, and post positions 9 & 10 will be drawn from the two highest  point earning AE horses that were eligible to enter in the Commonwealth Final as AEs.
